Tetley Alien Invasion Competition – terms and conditions:

This prize draw is open to UK residents (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) aged 18 and over except employees and their immediate families of Tetley Tea, their agents or anyone professionally connected with this prize draw.

A Facebook account is required in order to participate in this prize draw.

The prize draw opens at 12.00pm, noon, Thursday 10th April 2014 and the closing date for receipt of all entries is at 12.00pm, noon, Friday 11th April 2014.

Only one entry per person. No third party or bulk entries.

  1. To enter the prize draw, participants must correctly identify the differences between the two images posted  

    The entries must be family appropriate. Any entries that are offensive, cruel, inappropriate entries or those containing profanities will be removed and disqualified. All entries must be the participant’s own original work. Any entries which are plagiarized, copied, offensive, cruel or fraudulent; infringe upon existing rights of others will be disqualified. Any participant who does not provide all required details will be disqualified.

  2. When you submit any materials, including imagery, via the promotion, you thereby license and grant the promoter, its affiliates and sub-licensees an exclusive, royalty free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display such content for any purpose in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability. You agree not to assert any moral rights in relation to such use, where moral rights in respect of the content are yours to assert. You warrant that the picture is your original works and that it has not been copied, in whole or in part, from any other material and that you have the full authority to grant these rights to the promoter.

  3. No responsibility can be accepted for entries, which are incomplete, delayed, corrupted, damaged, wrongly delivered or not received for whatsoever reason.

  4.  One prize of a hamper with 1xTetley Original, 1xTetley Biscuits, 1xAlien Ooze, 1xTetley Mug, 1xFlat Cap. One winner. The winners will be the first entry drawn at random using an independently verified computer system and must fulfil all entry requirements. 
  5. If it becomes apparent that either a participant, whether person or household, is using any means to circumvent these conditions such as, and without limitation, using multiple Facebook accounts, acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the promoter or otherwise acting in violation of these terms, these entries and votes will be disqualified and any prize entitlement will be void and forfeited.

  6. To ensure fairness and the integrity of the promotion to all participants, the promoter will not enter into discussions regarding the running of this promotion via Facebook. Any entrant posting or seen to be posting comments on the promoter’s Facebook page or elsewhere during the promotion that are considered bullying, spiteful or upsetting to other contestants and fans of the Tetley Tea Folk or directly aimed at the promoter, will have their comments removed and will be disqualified from the promotion. The promoter reserves the right to alert Facebook to any such behaviour and the participant may have his/her Facebook account frozen pending investigation.

  7. Winner may be required to provide ID of the name and address of the participant who has entered the prize draw and failure to do so may result in prize entitlement being withdrawn.

  8. Winner will be notified by a written request to contact the promoter via their winning comment within 28 days of closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted within a further 14 days, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and will award the prize to a back-up drawn at the same time as the original.

  9. The Promoter’s decision in any matters relating to this prize draw is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  10. It is a condition of entry that winners will be required to take part in post-promotion publicity with no further recompense.

  11. Winner’s name and county will be available 28 days after the closing date for a period of three months. Winning entries will also be posted on Facebook within 28 days of the closing date.
