Our Packaging Story
Major Pack Change
We’ve made a big packaging upgrade on our Tetley black tea packs - no more non-recyclable laminates! The new packs are 100% recyclable and 25% more compact to minimise packaging. Our teabags are now plant-based, so you can dispose them in your food waste bin. Light on waste and easy to recycle!

Our Commitment
As an organisation we have a global commitment to achieve 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging by 2030. We're proud to share that as of 2024, 100% of our Tetley UK packaging on shelf is fully recyclable (as per OPRL definitions). We've also been members of the UK Plastics Pact since 2018. It’s a collaborative initiative which aims to create a circular economy for plastics, and explore innovative solutions to recycle, reuse, and reduce plastics across the value chain.
