WHO ARE WE
We are Tata Consumer Products GB Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Tata Consumer Products”), registered in England & Wales with company registration number 3019950. Our registered office is located at 325 Oldfield Lane North, Greenford, Middlesex, UB6 0AZ. Tata Consumer Products (based in the UK), collects, uses and is responsible for certain personal information about you. When we do so we are regulated under the General Data Protection Regulation which applies across the European Union (including in the United Kingdom) and we are responsible as ‘controller’ of that personal information for the purposes of those laws.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU AND WHY

The information we collect is to help us provide you with a quality consumer service and experience.

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms in our shop page www.tetley.co.uk/shop. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion sponsored by Tetley, and when you report a problem with our site and online shop.

  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

  • We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.

  • Details of your visits to our site (including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise) and the resources that you access.

OUR LEGAL BASIS FOR COLLECTING DATA

If you are a consumer, the lawful basis for which we rely on to collect and process your data is typically consent and performance of our obligations to you as a seller of products. If you are not consumer, we rely on legitimate interest as the lawful basis on which we collect and use your personal data in relation to enhancing your user experience of our website. Our legitimate interests are usually to provide you with details of our business and products. IP ADDRESSES

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

COOKIES

The Site may use cookie and tracking technology depending on the features offered. Cookie and tracking technology are useful for gathering information such as browser type and operating system, tracking the number of visitors to the Site, and understanding how visitors use the Site. Cookies can also help customize the Site for visitors. Personal information cannot be collected via cookies and other tracking technology, however, if you previously provided personally identifiable information, cookies may be tied to such information. WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

KEEPING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURE

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you.

If you do not want us to use your data in this way please don’t tick the relevant box situated on the form on which we collect your data (registration form on the online shop page).

We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1). We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

We may also disclose your personal information to other third parties:

  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our T&Cs and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tata Consumer Products, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.]

TRANSFER OF YOUR INFORMATION OUT OF THE EEA

Your personal information may be transferred to, processed and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers, including to the United States, which may provide for different data protection rules than in your country. In providing services to you, we will hold personal information for as long as are providing you the services for. Otherwise, we only hold personal information for as long as is necessary.
